We know the readership of The Leader's Playbook and quite a few of our subscribers hold one of the top 10 jobs listed above.  Some of the more effective methods for controlling excessive stress are:

  • Exercise regularly.
  • Eat right - stay away from the junk/fast food temptation.
  • Put the situation into perspective.  Rarely is the stressful situation a matter of life and death.
  • Find a listening partner.  Get it off your chest, unburden yourself by getting someone to listen to how you feel.
  • Know your limitations.  Don't sign up for something if you know it will tax your ability to cope with it successfully.
